Small Steps, Big Impact – Moving Forward This Spring
May is a month that naturally encourages movement. The days are longer, the air feels lighter, and there’s a sense of energy returning after the slower pace of winter.
It’s a time to get outside more, refresh routines, and continue the small changes we may have started earlier in the year.
Progress Doesn’t Happen All at Once
Recently, we were reminded of this in a very real way.
Nick completed the Pennine Barrier Ultra—a 50 mile run in 11 hours and 40 minutes.
It’s the kind of challenge that sounds huge (and it is), but it isn’t achieved in one moment. It’s built slowly—step by step, mile by mile.
And sustainable living is much the same.
It’s not about doing everything perfectly. It’s about consistency, patience, and small decisions repeated over time.
Building on What You’ve Started
By May, many of us have already made a few small shifts—perhaps trying Veganuary, switching cleaning products, or reducing waste.
This month is about continuing that momentum, gently.
The most meaningful changes are the ones that fit easily into daily life.
Refillable products, reusable essentials, and thoughtfully made items help reduce waste without making life harder.
It’s about creating a home that feels:
- Simpler
- Safer
- More intentional
A Gentle Reminder
Progress isn’t always visible straight away.
But over time, those small steps build into something much bigger.
Whether it’s running 50 miles… or switching your washing-up liquid.
Looking Ahead
As we move into summer, there’s an opportunity to keep things simple.
Choose what works.
Keep what matters.
And take it one step at a time.
Because small steps really do lead somewhere meaningful.x
